Ola holds a bachelors degree in addictions counselling/mental health, and she’s currently in her second year of the Master of Social Work program and is a member of the Alberta College of Social Workers. She is working to complete her supervised hours as part of the requirement for the MSW program. Under the supervision of Elaine Davie, Ola hopes to support individuals and families drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities to customize sessions to suit individual need.
In the past, Ola has worked with clients in a non-judgemental way on diverse issues such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, addiction and other compulsive behaviors. Using the counseling relationship, Ola strives to create a safe space to explore presenting issues, generate insights into current patterns of behavior, uncover individual strengths, and apply skills to challenging situations.
